VCFA enhances local community and voluntary action by developing the capacity of Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCF) organisations in Bury to provide support and deliver quality services. We will do this through
h effective strategic engagement with our statutory partners and by forging alliances with local businesses and communities
VCFA represents local VCF organisations by providing the VCF with a voice at a strategic level to influence policy, commissioners and decision makers. The VCF is a key player in improving the lives of local residents we make significant social and economic contribution to the Bury economy.
Our aim is to ensure ideas, experience and knowledge of the VCF contributes and influences policy makers and commissioners in councils; NHS; government departments when designing local services.
We also involve and represent the voluntary sector by:
- Supporting VCF representatives on networks, partnerships and strategic agencies
- Promote, advocate and lobby on behalf of the local VCF
- Facilitate and support consultation

Strategic Engagement is developing networking and partnership working with Bury Council, Bury Clinical Commissioners and the Local Care Alliance.
The Transformation agenda in Bury is establishing a new relationship between Bury VCFA, the voluntary sector and the Statutory services. through enhanced partnership development, engagement and consultation.
