🎳 Breaking down barriers to bowling!
The Bury Vets Bowling League recently secured North Bury WIP funding to help make the sport more accessible for over-57s — including specialist equipment for bowlers with reduced mobility. With fantastic support from Katherine in our Capacity Building team, Susan from the League reached out to over 50 local groups — leading to 13 new recruits and growing momentum across the borough. Susan also promoted the initiative at Bury North Connections meetings, organised taster sessions, and even got NHS Team Leaders on board to promote the project through GP surgeries.
