Chief Officer Age UK Bury

Andy Hazeldine

I am proud to be working at Bury’s oldest and largest charity for people aged 50 and over. Age UK Bury is an independent local charity, which works in partnership with eight Greater Manchester Age UK partners and the national partner.

Age UK Bury runs the Jubilee Centre, a unique centre for older people offering thirty activities a week; the Friends Together service to support those who are frail and isolated, a free information and advice service on all issues relating to age, a Handyperson service to help older people with small household DIY jobs, and a befriending service.

My previous experience includes working as a manager for a mental health voluntary group for seventeen years and for six years, I was the Chair of Bolton CVS.

My passion for the sector started from my voluntary work when I was a teenager, where I learnt how volunteers can make a massive difference to people’s lives and communities.

Outside work, my hobbies include travelling Europe, photography, and music. When work has allowed, I stand in as Daniel Craig’s stunt double.
