Early Break is a Young Person and Family service, covering five geographical areas in Greater Manchester. Bury is both my own personal and organisational home of origin and I have an attachment, drive and passion for Bury that is reflected in my work.
My current remit is oversight for strategy, finance, governance and business development for our organisation and I am supported by a Trustee Board and Senior Leadership team to deliver on this. It is in this backdrop and my long experience in the third sector alongside statutory partners, I offer transferable skills to Bury VCFA. I offer commitment and a considered objectivity to the role as Vice Chair, with a focus on whole community benefit.
I am continually inspired by what the voluntary sector can and does achieve given a difficult economic climate and believe there is more to come from the sector as our health and social care systems face change and increased challenge.
I have volunteered in some capacity for the majority of my adult life and I embrace the learning, challenge and friendship this has brought me.
I am a full time working mum and celebrate women succeeding in leadership roles balancing their family commitments. Time with my family is essential and I enjoy theatre, walking our rescue dog, food and, like the rest of us, simply being with my loved ones.
