The Bury Pulse Check is an online survey launched in June 2023. It aims to gather a real-time snapshot of some of the issues affecting the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector in Bury.
The key objective of the research is to complement the work of the State of the Sector survey between editions and sense check and bring national sector research to life but on a local level.
The reports are used to not just shape our work as Bury VCFA but are shared with partners including the public sector to help shape future policy and decisions

We know you get bombarded with surveys but we are committed to making real change as a result of what you tell us.
Since the last pulse check around volunteering the results have been fed back to public sector partners as well as our sector’s own volunteer coordinators. The feedback and results are continuing to shape our work on the Bury Volunteer strategy.
It has also helped shape our own offer with new factsheets created to support with Disclosure and Barring Service checks and more volunteering resources on the way including a brand new course for volunteer managers and coordinators.
