What’s your role and where do you volunteer?
I am a ‘Volunteer Bank support volunteer at volunteer for Bury VCFA.
How long have you been volunteering?
I started in April of 2025 and i volunteer once a week
What made you want to start volunteering?
I have always wanted to give back to the community. Also, i believe I can gain experience and knowledge while volunteering
What do you enjoy most about volunteering?
Meeting volunteers and staff members who are warm and welcoming and becoming that part of team is fulfilling.
Can you share a memorable moment or highlight?
I’ve recently started volunteering; however, I’ve felt welcomed and supported. One thing that stood out was how approachable and helpful everyone has been. It made me feel like part of the team right away
How has volunteering made a difference to you?
The few weeks I’ve spent volunteering has helped me more in communicating with people which is one of skills I want to build.
What would you say to someone thinking about volunteering?
I would say volunteering is one of the important things you can do, you are not just giving back but gaining valuable experience and confidence.
