£21,000 to £23,000 (pro rata part time)

We are recruiting a Funding and Development Officer on a secondment or 12-month fixed-term basis.

Hours: 35-hour (f/t) or 18-hour (p/t).

The role is funded through Forever Manchester Large Grants Fund and is key to our vision of a Bury where individuals and communities are resilient and actively look after each other, supported by coordinated community action.

This role requires an individual who is passionate about making a difference within Bury, who want to support a diverse range of community groups within the borough of Bury and its diverse communities.

You will work directly with community groups identifying funding opportunities, supporting groups to write funding applications/bids, advise on issues of governance along with helping to set up new groups and link them to broader services of Bury VCFA and our social prescribing team, The Beacon Service

  • respond to the needs of residents brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic
  •  identify community-based assets and opportunities
  • work with VCSE organisations to develop activities and services to generate aspiration and confidence in the neighbourhood
  • help support community groups to drive change through constructive social action

The Funding and Development Worker (Small Groups) will act as the link between communities and a range of other public sector, the VCF and social enterprise sector, and businesses.
