E 26 – Social Economy Programme
About the programme Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) has commissioned 10GM to develop and deliver a programme of new targeted interventions and improvements in specialist support for the social economy across the Greater Manchester (GM) region. The programme is funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. This programme has been set up in response to recommendation 11 outlined The Next Level: Good Lives for All in Greater
Manchester, a report undertaken by the Greater Manchester Independent Inequalities Commission. The programme will address the specific gaps and challenges that have been identified in the business support available to social economy organisations and social entrepreneurs across Greater Manchester. And it will seek to improve the accessibility, consistency and quality of support available.
E26 aims to provide a new digital front door to social economy support and to provide specialist support in localities where gaps are identified. In Summer 2024, Cooperatives UK will launch an Online Inclusive Ownership Platform with wrap-around staff support, due to be launched in Summer 2024.
