The Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham, and the Greater Manchester Combined Authority have asked the Greater Manchester Business Board to review business support available in the city region. The focus will be on Small and Medium enterprise growth and innovation, including support for charities, social enterprises, mutuals, and co-operatives.

The review will help Greater Manchester better understand the needs, opportunities and challenges facing the SME community. The initial phase will help build an evidence base, setting out the profile of the SME community, its current and future support needs, and the challenges businesses face in finding and accessing support.
