Yesterday marked a colourful celebration in Prestwich as two vibrant new murals were officially unveiled — one outside the Creative Living Centre and the other by the Prestwich Metrolink tram stop.
Our Volunteer Development Officer, Adam, was proud to attend the event, which brought together a fantastic cross-section of the community to celebrate creativity, collaboration, and local identity.
The murals are the result of a brilliant partnership between the Creative Living Centre, Prestwich Arts Festival, local artists, Bee Network, and transport operator Keolis Amey. Each partner played a key role in bringing the project to life, transforming everyday spaces into eye-catching works of public art.
It was wonderful to see so many local residents, volunteers, and creatives gather in the sunshine to admire the finished murals and hear from those involved in their creation. The project is a shining example of how the arts can unite communities and bring fresh energy to shared public spaces.
We look forward to seeing how these murals inspire further community-led projects across Prestwich and beyond!
