Developing proposals are taking place to enhance the street environment in Radcliffe town centre, supporting inclusive travel options and complementing town centre regeneration projects like the Radcliffe Hub.
As part of the Bee Network’s multi-million-pound investment, this project aims to improve travel across Greater Manchester with cleaner, greener, and more affordable transport. By 2040, the goal is for 50% of all trips to be made via public transport, walking, or cycling—helping reduce congestion, improve air quality, and boost local health and the economy.
Key Proposals:
- Improved walking, wheeling, and cycling routes on Spring Lane, Blackburn Street, and around the Metrolink stop.
- Enhanced Quiet Streets on Whittaker, Darbyshire, and Green Streets.
- Better access to public transport and the canal towpath on Water Street.
Get Involved:
Join a public engagement session at Radcliffe Library on 19 Sept (2pm-6:30pm), or view the proposals and give feedback online by 11 Oct 2024.
