Growing Well Together |
We propose creating nature rich seating areas in Tottington to encourage people to leave their homes and come into the village and, if possible or willing, contribute to the work of T.C.P. aimed at improving physical and mental wellbeing while combating loneliness. Participants involved in regular weeding and planting sessions, or resting in the improved environment. This hands-on activity will enhance physical fitness and provide therapeutic benefits, reducing stress and anxiety. Additionally, the collaborative environment will promote social interaction and build supportive relationships, helping to alleviate feelings of isolation. By creating beautiful, shared green spaces, our project will not only enhance individual wellbeing but also contribute to the overall vitality and cohesion of the community. |

Building a Healthier Community |
We propose the enhancement of our community park to promote physical, mental and social well-being among children. The funding of £1000 will enable us to add crucial elements to the park, fostering healthier lifestyles and providing a safe, engaging environment for children to play and exercise. We want to encourage regular physical activity through the maintenance of a football pitch and engaging playground markings such as fitness spots. https://designsandlines.co.uk/product/fitness-spot-hop/ We have sourced and more importantly been given Council permission for the above. Improving the space for families we hope will strengthen community ties. |

Sharing The Chi |
We recently piloted subsidised Tai Chi sessions to determine whether they have benefit for the physical and mental health of our community. The feedback from attendees has been overwhelmingly positive (more than any other project in our eight years of existence), and so we would like to continue offering subsidised sessions as well as growing the provision to offer more sessions, with a particular target group of children and young people. Subsidising the cost means that everyone can afford to attend. |
