The Refugee Welcome Programme (RWP) is a locally driven initiative that supports refugees and people seeking asylum across Greater Manchester.
The programme provides tailored access to:
- English language education
- Work, skills and vocational training
- Digital skills and inclusion
- Community connection and wellbeing
The Programme is also embedded in Live Well – Greater Manchester’s shared commitment to everyday support in every neighbourhood for everyone.
Bury Council are proudly working alongside Bury VCFA and the local VCFSE sector to implement this programme across the borough, who are often best-placed to create safe, trauma- and culturally informed spaces for people with asylum backgrounds.
