Grants Development Officer (Full-Time)

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated individual to lead the development and delivery of our grant programmes at Bury VCFA. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact across Bury’s communities by shaping how funding drives social value.
As Grants Development Officer, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the VCSE sector through strategic funding, collaborative partnerships, and insightful impact reporting.
Key responsibilities:
• Design and manage grant programmes from launch to evaluation
• Support applicants to strengthen bids and improve outcomes
• Coordinate grant panels and community assessors
• Lead site visits and conduct impact evaluations
• Build strong relationships with funders and delivery partners

Operations and Finance Manager

We are seeking an analytical, detail-oriented individual to ensure the smooth running of our operations and finance functions. You will need strong decision-making skills and the ability to communicate clearly with a wide range of stakeholders, including staff, trustees, partner organisations and service users.
A good understanding of legal responsibilities and regulations is essential to maintain a safe environment for our team, tenants and visitors. You should be confident using financial software (particularly QuickBooks), proficient in Microsoft Office, and able to respond flexibly to the changing demands of the organisation.
Volunteer Development Officer

This role sits within our capacity building team, which plays a key part in delivering Bury VCFA’s mission to strengthen the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector across the borough. The team works to build the capacity, capability and sustainability of local organisations, ultimately helping to create a vibrant sector that improves the quality of life for Bury residents.
The post involves leading on the Bury Volunteer Strategy and championing all aspects of volunteering locally. Key responsibilities include supporting people into safe, meaningful volunteering opportunities; helping organisations grow and develop their volunteer programmes; and exploring new ways to expand volunteering—such as employer-supported volunteering, youth leadership, and increasing diversity—while also preparing for the 2026 strategy refresh and implementing recommendations from the NAVCA VCQA assessment.
Grants Worker
The deadline for applications is Midnight, Sunday 30th March, 2025.
Interview Date is Friday 4th April 2025.
We’re looking for someone who is well organised with excellent attention to detail. You will be able to communicate effectively with people from a wide range of backgrounds, from small community groups to large charities and social enterprises. You will be a strong team player who can also work well on an individual basis. The post-holder will work closely with the Capacity Building and Admin and Finance Teams. Full training will be provided to familiarise you with Bury VCFA systems.
This exciting opportunity has arisen to join Bury VCFA to support our grants and financial administrative services. The post-holder will provide administrative support for: All aspects of the Bury VCFA grants process – including promotion of grants, eligibility, checking of applications, preparation and support for grant panels, awarding of grants, monitoring progress and preparing reports.
