Bury VCFA (Voluntary, Community and Faith Alliance) is proud to announce that following independent assessment, it has been awarded the Volunteer Centre Quality Award (VCQA), a nationally recognised standard of excellence for volunteer centres in the UK.

This award is evidence of Bury VCFA’s expertise in volunteering. It celebrates the dedication of the team in working towards a high-quality volunteer offer supporting a thriving culture of volunteering throughout the borough. It also highlights the impact of Bury VCFA’s work around volunteering: connecting people, empowering communities, and supporting the voluntary, community, faith and social enterprises of the borough.

Helen Tomlinson, Chief Officer at Bury VCFA, expressed her pride in the achievement:
“We are absolutely delighted to receive the Volunteer Centre Quality Award. This recognition reflects the hard work and passion of our team, partners, and the hundreds of volunteers who give their time so generously to make a difference in Bury. We’re committed to making volunteering accessible, rewarding, and impactful—and this award reaffirms that we’re on the right path.”

As part of their ongoing offer, the Bury Volunteer Bank is a free, easy-to-use service that helps people find volunteering roles that suit their interests. It also enables community groups to promote opportunities and connect with new volunteers. Whether you’re looking to give back, learn new skills, or find support for your project, the Bury Volunteer Bank is here to help.
