Grants of up to £20,000 Available to Tackle Waste and Boost Recycling in Greater Manchester

The newly renamed Renew Community Fund is offering grants of up to £20,000 to support innovative projects across Greater Manchester that prevent waste, encourage repair, and increase recycling.

Previously known as the Recycle for Greater Manchester Community Fund, the scheme has already supported 89 community-led projects with £880,000 in funding over the past four years. Now in its fifth year and one of the largest programmes of its kind in the country, the fund returns with a renewed purpose: to embed the principles of “Renew” in local communities.

Two types of grants are available:

  • Small grants of £2,000 to £10,000 (total fund: £180,000)

  • Large grants of £10,000 to £20,000 (total fund: £40,000)

The fund is open to community, voluntary and faith groups, schools, colleges, universities, charities, and other non-profit organisations.

Applications open at 12pm on Tuesday 22 April and close at 12pm on Friday 30 May via the Renew Community Fund website here
